Luongo Shut Out Game 5

*This ain’t where the road comes to an end
This ain’t where the bandwagon stops
This is just one of those times when
A lot of folks jump off..

When the water’s high
When the weather’s not so fair
When the well runs dry
Who’s gonna be there?

The 2011 play-off run of the Vancouver Canucks has been a roller-coaster to say the least. The highs have been over the moon and the lows have had people wanting to lite themselves on fire and jump off the nearest bridge with cement boots on. Almost a bi-polar feel to a lot of the Canuck(faithful?). This is nothing new in these parts.

Watching all of this  has reinforced for me how lucky I have been to be surrounded during the last three years with an inner circle of such supportive and incredible people. Never during/after the two failed attemps in Leadville or the injuries here or Washington was I made to feel like belief was challenged or that confidence was dwindling. Knowing that people stood firmly behind me in my quest not only helped to prop me up when I was doubting myself but gave me a hard push to find my through it and helped solidify my resolve to make it happen this August.
